Current Cheat River Water Flow Levels

After periods of heavy rain the lake temperature will drop and the water may look muddy. A good indicator of the upcoming water quality is the flow rate on the Cheat River that feeds the lake.  If the flow rate is above 5,000 CFS it is likely the water will be muddy.  If the flow rate is above 10,000 CFS there is more likely to be debris in the lake.
